A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.
The Blush and Brass House
Seven years ago, a young couple enlisted my services to renovate their flat in Kensal Rise. Fast-forward to today: They are a family of four and have purchased a lovely five-bedroom house in a prime area in East Finchley. Keen to imprint their unique style on their new home, they requested a familiar colour palette from their previous flat: smoky dusk pink, brass, and shades of grey.
In this new venture, we transformed four bathrooms, created a master en-suite bedroom, and installed new flooring. We decorated the house with fresh wall paint and wallpapers and introduced bespoke carpentry to maximize storage. Additionally, we carefully selected lighting, curtains, furniture, and accessories to complement the design. The home now radiates a funky, vibrant energy that mirrors the character of this happy family.
I am deeply honoured to have been trusted with the design of both their homes and wish them many wonderful years in this vibrant residence.
