A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.

kenwood House

2 Willow Road
Modernist influences also grace the neighbourhood, with pioneering architects like Ernő Goldfinger leaving their mark through bold and innovative designs. 2 Willow Road is a historic modernist house designed by the Hungarian-born architect Ernő Goldfinger. Completed in 1939, the house is a prime example of modernist architecture and is now managed by the National Trust, open to the public for tours. Clean lines, flat roofs, large windows, and a focus on functionality characterize it. The house consists of three separate vertical units, each with its distinct function. The top floor served as a studio for Goldfinger, the middle floor as the family's living space, and the ground floor as the service area.
Inside, the house features an open-plan layout emphasising natural light and simplicity. The interiors are furnished with mid-century modern furniture and artworks, creating a cohesive and elegant aesthetic.
